     The Phantasy Trio

The Phantasy Trio was formed in 2010, the members having met at cambridge university when completing their undergraduate degrees. All proceeded to the Royal Academy of Music to study for their Masters. As individuals they have won various competitions and enjoy busy performing careers as soloists, recitalists and orchestral principals.
Since the trio's formation they have enjoyed performing in concerts and competitions to critical acclaim and are looking forward to an increasingly busy performing schedule. The Phantasy Trio has enjoyed an exploration of repertoire for this interesting combination in which the sound-worlds of each instrument work so well together, and are keen to commission new works as well as performing the more traditional repertoire. Their recent performance in the Cambridge Summer Music Festival was a complete sell-out and inspired the audience to a standing ovation. The Phantasy Trio are grateful for the support of the friends and benefactors of the Royal School of Music.

This concert is inaugurating the gift to St Catherine's of a Bechstein grand piano which is in memory of Wilfred Allcoat - a Founder of the Hinckley Music Club and the mother of the Chairman. It is in association with Burbage Arts' Festival 2012
